Tribal Galaxy!

Hello girls!

When I saw the tribal galaxy design that Mr Candiipants achieved inspired by a society6 phone case, I immediately wanted to make a try:

Sadly my acrylic paint pen (POSCA) wasn't opaque enough and crackled with my topcoat :/

I used a lot of colors for this design, starting by one coat of a dark green crème from Avon.

I sponged other colors from Avon: a light grey crème, a navy shimmer (similar to China Glaze - Rodeo Fanatic) and a purple glass fleck (similar to CG - Senorita Bonita).
I also sponged Orly - Butterfly and Biguine Makeup Gloss & Shock - Blue Lagoon.

Then I added one coat of China Glaze - Fairy Dust (thank you Nikki!) to give it a lot of sparkliness!

I decorated this galaxy using my white Posca and some holo gold hex glitter, then Out The Door Top Coat ;)

Did you liked it? I am disapointed of the opacity and crackling of the white paint but I think these are cute! Not as badass as Mr Candiipants' but a little more detailed :)

Have a great day!

Studded Chocolate

Hi everyone!

Today I'm showing you a gorgeous untried that was sitting sadly in a drawer! Look how pretty is Deborah - Burgundy Passion:

I applied two coats of it and then glued two studs on ever nail using my topcoat.

After one day of wear some studs has fallen so I decided to reglue them and put a topcoat (which I didn't do initially). Now they stay really well!

I bought those studs here and I really recommend them!

I really liked this mani because I find it really classy, but maybe a little bit too simple?

What do you think?

Have a great day!

Lacey Doll

Hello everyone!

Sorry it has been a long time! I've started my 2nd year of 3D studies and I need to work a lot. I've been wearing my dream catcher mani since Monday and it had only minor chips so I might keep it one day or so until I change. Next mani will feature my last franken! :)

Today I'm showing you a mani I did last week between two challenges for a lesson I had to teach my  bf's mother class about minimum nail care for labour world (and a bit of nail art!).

To achieve this look I started with one coat of Miss Cop - Beige to give a little bit of opacity to my nail, and then one coat of OPI - You're a Doll. (<3)

Then I stamped a lace stripe from my Konad plate m57 using Konad Special Polish - Black. Using the same polish and a tiny dotting tool, I did little polka dots on the free edge. :)

Aww look at these tiny coral flakes! I love the way it keeps the polish from being boring (being a nude). Thank you a lot April for helping me get it! <3

Did you like this mani? I really like the base color and I think the lace gives it a bit of sexiness without overwhelming it!

Have a great great day ;)

CMYK! My Favorite Things Nail Challenge Day 5 "Polka Dots"

Hi everyone!

Sorry my post is a little bit late during the week but I have been overwhelmed by painting projects and my hands never got clean. I'll make a post about those projects at the end of the week!

Today I'm showing my entry for Day 4 of My Favorite Things Nail Challenge, which theme was "polka dots"! I had the idea for this manicure for a looong time ago, at first I thought I was gonna submit it for Chalkboard Nails Dotting Tool Contest!

I was inspired by the pattern we see when we look close to a CMYK printed poster! And I thought this was the occasion to take a try to the newspaper technique ;) On to the pics:

To achieve this look, I applied two coats of OPI - Alpine Snow.
Then I took my colored polishes and I mixed every one with some Seche Restore. I used Rimmel - , OPI - Fly, and.
I grabbed my biggest dotting tool  and started dotting, making sure that the dots were overlaying each others.

For my accent nail, I applied two coats of OPI - Skull & Glossbones.
Then I cut a piece of newspaper, dipped it in medical alcohol and transfer the letters ;)

Did you liked this mani? It is so eye-catching!

Cheesy! (My Favorite Thing Nail Art Challenge: "My Favorite Food!")

Hi!

Today I'm featuring my attempt at day #4 for My Favorite Things Challenge! We were asked to paint our nails with the theme "Favorite Food. I don't know what my favorite food is, I'll always be really happy if I can eat salmon, but let's admit it, painting a cute little salmon on my nails and say that I do really like to eat that as much as I can is not really correct ;)

So I decided to go with a food I eat everyday and that brightens my meals: cheese! Let's be patriotic!

So, how did I do? Elementary my dear Watson:
Only one coat of my new pale lemon franken, some dots of a darker yellow!
Both polishes are mixtures I did but I would recommend Orly - Lemonade & Sally Hansen - Mellow Yellow ;)

I added a little mouse on my accent finger, using my favorite tiny brush, Confetti - Lonesome dove for the grey body, Wet'n Wild - Black Crème for the eyes and OPI - Sparrow me the Drama for the nose and ears ;)

I stole this idea from this girl (link inside!), check her blog even if it's in french! (In fact she posts the sundays on another girl's blog.)

I am really enjoying this challenge, do you?

Native American like?

Hello!

I hope you are doing great! Today I'm gonna show you a nail art I did on my cousin's nails while she was here!

I really love the style and the combo of color! I really don't know if it is really comparable, but it reminds me of native american art.

For this design I started with two coats of China Glaze - Fast Track. Thank you Raphaelle for letting me use your polish before you can finally get it!

Then I painted the brown parts with E. Pinaud - Chocolat, and the teal parts with Fashion Make-Up - n°06.

I used a little art brush, a dotting tool and OPI - Alpine Snow for the details.

I hope you liked this mani, my cousin was happy and me jealous of course! :P

Let me know if you like it!

Guest Nails: Aztec

Hi everyone!

This week I was at my grandparent's with my sister, so I did her nails! She wanted some aztec nail art, with that bright orange!

I started with one coat of OPI - Fly. Then I added stripes with OPI - Hot & Spicy (2 coats!) and Rouge Baiser - Gris Lavande.

I freehanded the pattern with Wet'n Wild - Wild Shine - Black Crème, and I made the dots with a dotting tool and Seche - Blanc.

I though about doing an aztec nail art lately and my sister showed wanting me to do it on her nails. I'm happy about how it turned out! :)

Do you like it?

Lacey Half Moons

Hi all!

This is a third post with purple nails.. I'm sorry!
Today I'm showing you my second mani with the traveling polish: The Wanderer by Sassy Lacquer.
You can check my post explaining you what's this nail polish :)

Here The Wanderer was used as a base color with Rouge Baiser - Gris Lavande under it for the opacity (one coat of each).

I freehanded the lace with Seche - Blanc, in the shape of half moons.

Now it's time for me to say goodbye to The Wanderer, since the next person gave me her adress to send it to her ;) It was sure a great time, if you want to join the adventure, you can join the group here.

I hope you liked this mani, I promess my next post wont be another purple one ;)

Have a good day!

From the Vault: Abstract tree

Hi all!

Since I lost hope in getting my old posts on this new blog, I decided to keep them to make "From the Vault" articles. Today is one of them!

This is a mani with just one accent nail that I litterally copied from Nailsymo. Google this name, this girls always make AWESOME manis! It seems like she has stopped to post nail art but I love her work!

The greyish lilac I used here is Gris Lavande (litterally the translation of "greyish lilac"!) from Rouge Baiser.I put two coats, but it's pretty opaque. :)
I freehanded the abstract tree design with Seche - Blanc, a tiny art brush and a dotting tool.
Rhinestones are the tiny silver ones from Swarowski.

Do you like this mani? Have you ever tryed to remake one of Nailsymo's manis?

Have a good day! :)
